Dixieland Band on the grounds of the First Congregational Church
A large somewhat older crowd gathered to enjoy Dixieland Band music, lemonade, and strawberry shortcake under the shade trees on the lush grounds of the First Congregational Church yesterday just across the street from the Dickinson Homestead.

Amhesrt BID again doing amazing things for the town in ways no one else would. Sort of like how they had a bike raffle at the Taste of Amherst. A big hand lettered sign saying 'bike raffle'. No bike to show, just a sign. Not a great way to advertize a raffle. Perhaps a few marketing courses at UMASS might be in order. Everyone seems to say Amherst is anti-business. With a BID like this they don't have to be.
He looks like a younger Stephen King. Maybe they were just afraid of IT?
