A Crushing Experience

Amherst Farm Winery puts its best foot forward to attract attention

Wine connoisseurs who frequent the Amherst Farmers Market can now combine their hobbies by visiting the new Amherst Farm Winery now open at the former site of Season's restaurant, or if you go way back as an Amherst townie, the Rusty Scupper.

Too bad the town of Amherst (Building Inspector's Office) made them close for a lack of LINES painted on their parking lot! :-P

And to think the Town Manager and Select Board have been touting how business friendly the town is becoming. Still need to work on it I guess.

I would say so. I think they need to meet with actual new business owners to find out first hand how their experience was with trying to get their business open. I'll bet they really have no idea the hell that these owners go through.

Why is that? If I park over the line (once they are painted), will the Town ticket me on private property? What if I go a foot over the line? (Get it?) Ha ha ha ha ha.

Give the small business owners a break. It's hard enough to open a brand new business but to put up with some tight ass inspector with no heart.
