10:45 AM Amherst Town Center
Brief speeches, poems, a lone bagpiper and the town flag at half-staff, all under mournful grey skies. The veteran, and their friends and family, never forget. And neither should we.

It is nice that there were a few people that took the time to acknowledge the fine men and women that served so unselfishly. I unfortunately missed this event. I was obligated to Belchertowns service and unveiling of their new memorial on the common. Larry I think it is well worth the drive to visit and if I can get the pictures out of my phone I'll send them to you. It was a very moving ceremony and I was proud to have my boys and me participate.

The VFW also sponsored a nice event for veterans and their families. It was nice to see the men and women who have served our country in at the club yesterday and I was happy I was able to thank them for their service.
Hey Dale,
The Civil War monument in Belchertown is something to behold as is this new one.
The Gazette actually did a pretty good job covering that event.
