The Grinch Gets (deservedly) Scrooged!

(6:10 am) So I guess this is what you call BUZZ (more like what the Brits called"Buzz Bombs"). Yikes! Remind me NEVER to do anything so stupid in public, private or even after I'm dead.

Of course the crusty Gazette was especially quick to publish these response Letters to Saturday's Front Page article, but you will still have to wait God knows how many hours to read them in the online edition (or you could click the photo to enlarge). UPDATE: the Gazette went cyber around 10:00 am.

Now the question of the day is will the Gazette do an editorial? At least we can tell whose side they're on.
UPDATE 9:42 pm (yeah, my bedtime). The cyber comments to the Letter section were also interesting: http://www.dailyhampshiregazette.com/storyComments.cfm?id_no=71575

What's the policy for usnig the town common?

Well as long as you have no impact on Public Safety the Town Common is free. Anti-war folks have used it every Sunday for the past 35 years. (The town even installed a plaque on the Common to commemorate them)

Larry-
I work for the Dept of Public Works and our union and other DPW employees are planning to collect donations to give back to the Boy Scouts what the 'grinch' has tried to steal this Christmas. So hopefully with in the next few weeks you will be hearing more about this and the Boy Scouts will get a special Holiday gift

Great job!

Only in Amherst would the idiots in charge screw up so badly and the folks who do the real, honest to goodness day-to-day work exhibit a core.

Let me know the average donation and count me (Donna and Kira) in! And, hopefully, a few readers of this blog.
