The bicycle patrols have been an increasd presence on the Fearing Street beat this past fall and now this spring. It gives them a different visibility and flexibility, being closer than in a patrol car. They are very "approachable" as well as being attuned to what's evolving in the immediate environs. Yes, when I was in the neighborhood taking a photo of 11 Phillips for the most recent story they all came by slowly in formation.
