Umass band at center between Merry Maple and Main Street
Well maybe not visible from outer space, but the Merry Maple sure stands out from 400 feet up. I can see why it took almost a week to string all the lights.
This harkens back to the Amherst of old, and can't help but warm the heart of even the staunchest Grinch.

Nice Larry! Very nice indeed. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you BID for making it possible.
ReplyDeleteWhat occasion is the lighting of this tree supposed to celebrate?
ReplyDeleteIt is an occaision unto itself. Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa songs are sung. And then Santa Claus comes in at the end. But what is your real question?
DeleteWe saw the drone last night - my children couldn't quite figure out what it was at first, but I said I was sure it was yours :)
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of kids in town with no way to get to Merry Maple, I wish there was a way that kids could all have equal access to the celebrations and events that require town resources.
ReplyDelete(Debbie Downer sad trumpet)
Everyone has equal access in the next world. Not this one.
