    Keep in mind my journalistic formative years were in the early- to-mid 1970s when Thomas Wolf changed the rules of, you know, that all important thing called punctuation.

    I guess he forgot to tell all the other newspaper journalists except you. I don't remember the '70s having different grammer and punctuation than standard English in the Globe, Times, WSJ, etc. Only in your imagination. Keep up your excuses for sloppy work. They are quite amusing.
